Wednesday Operation nights are primarily used as training and advancement nights where members can begin to refine different roles in ASOR. Most Wednesdays will include some training/learning followed by operations to support the topic being covered on the night. 

Operation briefs will be added below when the mission maker has them ready.

Attendance Times, Per State:

  • NSW / VIC / TAS / QLD – 7:15pm
  • NT / SA – 6:45pm
  • WA – 5:15pm

Mission By suits

Setup and Preparation: 1915hrs (Sydney time)
Server Preparation and Mission Load: 1900hrs (Sydney time)
Briefing and Mission Launch: 1930hrs (Sydney time)

OPERATION BRIEF:

December 1967, having proven ourselves on the ground in Vietnam now the US Lead Task Group is keen to put the Australian forces to good use, not only did we manage to give units at Hill950 a break but advanced on the enemy taking out a key logistic point for what looked like preparations for an assault Khe Sanh Combat base. Intel taken from the dead at the Village has provided us with advance warning of a pending attack.  

SITUATION:

Outline of the overall situation.

Enemy –
Expected Enemy, there current activity, size, identification, threat level, capability, assets such as air, armour, anti-armour etc, current status.

Friendly –
Friendly forces in the area or involved in the mission. Including alternate teams, assets available such as air, artillery etc.

Civilian –
Expected Civilians and any threat level or behaviors.

Terrain –
Map we will be on and any local terrain considerations. (Urban, Jungle, Desert etc)

MISSION:

Objective of the Mission in one sentence including Why When Where.

EXECUTION:

The mission will occur in SIX phases:
Phase One – Briefing and Preparation
Phase Two – Insertion
Phase Three – First Execution Phase
Phase Four – Second Execution Phase
Phase Five – Extraction
Phase Six – Debriefing

COMMAND AND SIGNALS:

Radio Setup
Radios will be pre-programmed on issue.
Channels as per comms board on day of operation
