In war, devastating things happen. This is particularly true for the Saxby family. Peter Saxby was confirmed KIA on Wednesday 31/01/2018 at roughly 1500. It was rumoured that he was the first to die in an ambush laid by the TFF, in what we assumed was a safely held TNA capital city of RASMAN. One stray 50-cal to the head later, Australia’s SF sole purpose of being in Takistan has been made redundant. He was a father, a husband and someone who had a poetic belief in resolving conflicts peacefully. Australia is angry… really angry.
At a similar time to the TFF ambush on Aus SF in the city of RASMAN, TFF conducted simultaneous strikes on TNA held compounds. TFF seemingly conducted these strikes as an asset denial exercise, aiming to cripple the TNA of any mechanized and rotary response. From an impartial view, these hits were hugely successful for the TFF. What assets, they couldn’t take for themselves they destroyed. TNA has been left immobile in a country that is increasingly hostile.
Intelligence suggests that these stolen assets have been moved North East of Takistan into the province of ZARGABAD, a TFF stronghold. TNA has clung to a FOB just North of the major town and is requesting Australia’s ‘assistance’ in annexing this town of TFF and recapturing any assets that are available.
Australian SF is in no position to extract from Takistan at this stage. Our forces are currently under siege at Camp Bitter (Just south of RASMAN, where the ambush occurred). Air support is still offline, due to the sandstorm that still rages across the country. There is hope that the Sandstorm will let up this evening (in approximately 3hours time). In the meantime, ASOR is to make their way, via convoy to the ASOR airfield in the south. Once there, wait for weather conditions to improve, and begin extracting to Zargabad.
TFF – Eastern Weaponry, light vehicles, Middle-Eastern garments, light vehicular use. Expected to be highly mobile.
High Danger Warning: Use of VBIED, IED’s and other explosives is likely. TNA has had a low occurrence of IED in towns, a medium occurrence of IED’s leading into hostile held areas.
TNA – infantry based, underfunded and ill-equipped. Patrol major central towns. Weak Garrisons in large fringe towns.
AMCU – Infantry: Green – (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie), Victor (logistics dependant), Comand
Civilian – Peter Saxby -KIA
Highly populated regions. TNA reports that terrorist cell’s do masquerade in civilian attire to travel easily from town to town.
Takistan: Mountainous, sparse woodlands, urban and desert.
