While US forces have been providing assistance in fighting ISIS in other areas of the Middle-East, the Takistan mountains have been largely neglected, partly due to confidence that the Takistan army was capable of keeping it under control. Five days ago, Al-Qaeda allied forces raided a large military base in Khushab, killing all personnel and stealing a large numbers of heavy weapons. Insurgent forces used these weapons to take large amounts of territory in the North-East mountain regions. Takistan national forces do not have the equipment or training to fight an enemy which has access to heavy weapons, and have requested that ASOR deal with the threat.
Enemy – Insurgents armed with heavy weapons, such as HMGs, GMGs and a likely damaged T-72, as well as technicals.
Friendly – ASOR Infantry, MRAPS, X-Ray if AA threats are cleared.
Civilian – Unlikely, civilian forces have fled insurgent occupied towns.
Terrain – Takistan: Mountainous, sparse woodlands, urban and desert.
We have two goals for this mission;
- Eliminate insurgent forces in villages, allowing the civilian population to move back in.
- Search all enemy occupied areas and recover the missing weapons, list is as follows;
- x20 KORD Heavy Machine Guns
- x6 IGLA MANPADS
- x10 AGS30 GMG
- x8 METIS Wire-Guided AT Launchers
- x1 T-72 (reportedly damaged)
