18:45 - 22:30
Mission By OneEyed
Setup and Preparation: 1915hrs (Sydney time)
Briefing and Mission Launch: 1930hrs (Sydney time)
OPERATION URAN Is a multistage incursion into the country of Bekovetus in order to secure the security and safety of Russian soil.
Good morning everyone,
As most of you already know, our last attempt at capturing Objective Grigori AKA Luka Ivoglin during Operation Uran Edward was a complete failure. Vympel 2SQN were led into a devastating ambush, most of our leads towards capturing OBJ Grigori have gone cold and our friends over at the GRU are nothing short of pissed. It’s safe to say that things weren’t looking too good up until yesterday.
Thanks to a local newspaper by the name of Bekovetus Daily, we’ve been able to regain the trail OBJ Grigori left during his escape. In one of their recent articles, they’ve mentioned that a meeting between a man by the name of Ivan Vasiliev, a local reporter, and Objective Grigori has or will soon take place. The meeting is believed to have or will happen in the south western region of the Leskovets territory, with the primary location of interest being the eastern branch of BKT daily in the town of Varbotchev (GRD 152215).
It is our job tonight to insert deep into enemy territory, find out whatever we can about the current whereabouts of Objective Grigori and return said information back into Russian hands to continue the hunt. Like Uran Edward, Operation Uran Mob will focus highly on stealth with an emphasis on a speedy recovery of whatever information we can find. Although a majority of the 12th Mountain Division of the BKT forces are concentrated near the border region, if we begin to make a large amount of noise the entire country could come crashing down on us, so ensure to not linger longer than you have to and leave minimal evidence of your presence where possible.
Pack for a standard HALO drop. Likelyhood of armour is low, and although the curfew is still in effect you will be dropping with some small light-skinned vehicles to facilitate speedy movement around the BKT landscape.
Mission begins at 2130.
